Fethi has over 20 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, as CFO and in business development in Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia with a focus on the TMT sector. Based in Dubai for the last 17 years, Fethi is a Venture Partner of Iliad Partners, a Dubai based venture capital firm that invests in early stage technology startups with a focus on the MENA region. He is also the CEO of FSK Advisors, a mid-market focused corporate and financial advisory firm in the MENA region.
Previously, Fethi served initially as Group CFO and subsequently as Chief Business Development Officer of MOBY Group, a 21st Century Fox affiliated media/tech company with over 1,100 employees and operations in 8 countries in South & Central Asia, Middle East and Africa where he was responsible for investments in new and existing media and technology companies in growth markets.
Before that, Fethi’s career was in investment banking in institutions such as Deutsche Bank and Barclays Capital in London and Dubai, where he provided financial advisory services as well as raising debt, equity and project financings for sovereign wealth funds, large corporates, and family offices. He also cofounded Blue Gate Capital Partners, a frontier market private equity and financial advisory firm focused on reconstruction and investment in Iraq and Libya.
Fethi moved to Dubai in 2002 to help establish and manage Estithmaar Ventures, a US$100M Technology, Media and Telecom focused private equity fund, a JV between Deutsche Bank and The Investment Office, the private office of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. He holds a BSc in International Economics from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and speaks Arabic, Turkish, English, and French.
