With over 15 years of experience spanning marketing, non-profit management and entrepreneurship, Helen Al Uzaizi is a successful businesswoman and an active community member.
After a decade of marketing communications experience, working on leading brands such as LG Electronics, EMAAR International, Royal Jordanian, Zain Telecom, Porsche, Audi and many others, Helen transitioned into the field of community development as International Relations & Fundraising Manager of the Jordan River Foundation (JRF), an NGO chaired by Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan. During that time, she established partnerships with local, regional, and international organizations and represented JRF at a number of high-profile speaking engagements and events, including the European Council in Strasbourg, France.
Helen later took on the role of CEO of the Mowgli Foundation. During her time at the foundation she accepted the Mohammed Bin Rashid Award for Young Business Leaders on behalf of the organization, which was named the Best Mentor Network in the Arab World.
Since 2014, Helen has been applying her rich experiences and insights to supporting promising regional startups both as an advisor, partner and mentor to entrepreneurs and start-ups. Helen is currently focused on her role as Founder & CEO of Future Entrepreneurs which runs leading children’s entrepreneurship program in the MENA region, BizWorld UAE.
Helen is a member of the Young Arab Leaders, a mentor with Oasis 500, and a member of the Board of Directors for Oasis1 for Training (Oasis 500). She is a passionate advocate for women in leadership through mentoring and has spoken on the topic at various events and conferences, including the SME World Summit and the Arab Women in Business & Leadership Forum.
Helen sits on the Advisory Board for Nakhweh.org and on the Global Advisory Board for PACES (Palestine Association for Children’s Encouragement of Sports). Furthermore, as a volunteer for the King Hussein Cancer Center, she climbed Mount Kilimanjaro and raised $76,000 for the Center’s expansion. Helen is also a Brand Ambassador and pro-bono advisor for SEP (the Social Enterprise Project) that works with Palestinian women in the Jerash ‘Gaza’ Refugee Camp in Jordan.
Helen is a mother and believes in encouraging young people and women to overcome their boundaries and limits and completed a full marathon (42.19km), is a triathlete who is training to compete in IronMan (3.8km swim, 190km cycle and 42.19km run) and has climbed a number of mountains for social causes.
Helen is a Certified Marketing Executive (CME) who studied Politics and Law at the University of Manchester (UK). She completed her Executive Education at Columbia University Business School (US).
