The duration of approval is dependent upon the time it takes for you to submit your documents and according to the type of incubation you have applied for. The different durations are as follows: Address only/virtual incubation/ or office (approximately 1 week): applicants will be required to schedule a pitching meeting with 2 Rowad coaches for assessment. Thereafter, a response will be issued within 5 working days. Workshops/shops/retail incubation (approximately 1 month): Once an application has been received, a coach will guide the applicant through all the prerequisites. The applicants will be required to pitch to a selection committee to obtain final approval into the incubation program. A selection committee occurs once a month.
The duration of incubation is 3 years for all types of incubation excluding pre-incubation and virtual offices, which are 1 year programs.
There are no guarantees. After you apply you must go through the selection process. The selection process is dependent on what type of incubation you are applying for.
This is subject to availability of unit and the space required for your business.
You may specify your preferred space, however the final allocation depends on the availability of the unit and the recommendation of the allocation committee.

The selection committee considers the following factors while assessing incubator applications: • The entrepreneur’s pitch • The economic impact of the project (Economic Parameters, i.e Job Creation, Export Promotion, Import Substitution, Foreign Currency Earning and Value Addition • The project potential and feasibility • The value addition of incubating the proposed business. • Any demonstrated entrepreneurial traits.
You may present in any style that you are comfortable with and utilizing presentation support tools of your preference such as; PowerPoint, or a video, or just spoken: • Clear description of project idea/concept. • Customers or users of the product/service • Uses, functions, or benefits of the product/service offered • Value addition to the market • Future potential of this concept • Way forward. Yes, you can forfeit your application after being approved, but keep in mind you will not be refunded for any fees.
No you cannot rent out your incubation unit. The incubation unit can only be utilized by the applicant that has been approved and has signed a lease agreement.
